Description

You will develop and maintain mainframe software and automation processes within a Z/OS environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop software code and JCL following defined standards and engineering best practices.
• Automate mainframe batch JCL generation and job scheduling through collaboration with technical experts.
• Analyze root causes for batch job failures and implement timely corrective actions.
• Participate in peer reviews of project artifacts and technical design meetings.
• Provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level developers and maintain project documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Z/OS Mainframe development, specifically REXX and ISPF Dialog Manager.
• Proficiency in JCL and Control-M.
• Experience using mainframe utilities including IEBGENER, IEBCOPY, and IEBUPDATE.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for batch job failures.
• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of related experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for technical briefings and customer relations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with modern development tools and languages including Java and/or Python.
