Description

You will develop, maintain, and troubleshoot software within a Z/OS mainframe environment, owning the full lifecycle from design to resolution of batch job failures.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain JCJ and software code following defined standards and engineering best practices.
• Analyze root causes for batch job failures and implement corrective steps to resolve issues.
• Evaluate the impact of database schema changes on existing software components.
• Participate in peer reviews of project artifacts and maintain technical documentation.
• Research problems independently or collaboratively to provide technical solutions.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with COBOL, JCL, and REXX.
• Extensive experience with Z/OS Mainframe development.
• Proficiency in CLIST and SQL.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, specifically DB2.
• Experience with non-relational mainframe storage technology.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and technical communication skills.
• Exposure to automated unit testing, TDD, and BDD.
