Description

You will manage and optimize IBM MVS/zOS mainframe environments and subsystems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Perform system programming and administration tasks, including Sysplex activities and WLW tuning.
• Manage storage, backup, and storage device configurations.
• Execute system user exits and manage LPAR and z/OS subsystems.
• Monitor system performance using SMF and RMF.
• Maintain and support IMS DB/DC, DB2, CICS, and MQSeries environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with IBM MVS/zOS mainframe systems.
• Proficiency in z/OS, COBOL, and Assembler.
• Experience with IMS DB/DC and DB2.
• Hands-on work with TSO, ISPF, JES2, and JCL.
• Technical knowledge of SMP/E, SMF, and RMF.
• Experience managing RACF, TCP/IP, and VTAM.
• Competency with BMC Tools and CA Tools.
• Familiarity with Websphere, MQSeries, and HCD.
• Ability to manage Workload Manager and z/OS subsystems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with WLM tuning and Sysplex activities.
