Description

You will manage the administration, configuration, and optimization of mainframe storage systems in a remote capacity.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mainframe storage systems including DASD, virtual tape libraries, and tape management systems.
• Lead HSM migration and backup planning to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Manage Vantage Storage software for performance monitoring and capacity planning.
• Administer Hitachi disk replication processes to ensure disaster recovery readiness.
• Maintain RMM (Removable Media Manager) for physical and virtual media management.

Required Skills

• 8-10 years of experience in mainframe storage administration.
• Extensive experience with HSM migration and backup.
• Proficiency with Vantage Storage software.
• Strong experience with Hitachi disk replication.
• In-depth knowledge of virtual tape systems.
• Experience with RMM (Removable Media Manager).
• Expertise in SMS Managed Disk and Tape.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
