Description

You will manage storage systems, data backups, and network infrastructure within a mainframe complex, ensuring 24/7 operational stability.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage storage systems, data backups, software, and network systems through problem determination and change implementation.
• Execute routine and standardized tasks to support 24x7 operations and resolve data movement and disposal issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop backup and restoration strategies for unforeseen technical situations.
• Implement specific customer requirements and handle storage management product tool support and lifecycle management.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe environments.
• 3+ years of experience with z/OS Operating System, Z Series Hardware, or Mainframe Storage Management.
• 3+ years of experience installing, troubleshooting, operating, testing, and configuring storage technologies.
• Proficiency with SMS, DFHSM, RMM, CA1, CA-Vantage, and CA-Disk.
• Experience with Advanced Storage Replication and Copy Services.
• Strong documentation and verbal/written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of LEAN methodologies.
• System programming skills in z/OS (MVS), Job Entry Subsystems (JES), and database management systems.
• Familiarity with IBM DFSMS products and zDMF.
