Description

You will manage mainframe storage system performance, reliability, and availability to meet service level agreements.

Responsibilities

• Manage system performance and availability to ensure service level agreements are met.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans for all managed systems.
• Design rollouts for system enhancements, upgrades, and new hardware installations.
• Automate processes using VMWare automation tools and create technical SOPs.
• Coordinate with Service Centers and Network Control Centers for problem escalation and resolution.

Required Skills

• 8-12 years of relevant mainframe storage experience.
• Hands-on experience with GDPS, Global Mirror, Metro Mirror, and HiperSwap.
• Expertise with HCD in large-scale enterprise environments with multiple CECs.
• Experience installing and configuring IBM Mainframes, Virtual Tape systems, and DS8000 DASD.
• Proficiency with Brocade SAN equipment and Brocade Network Advisor.
• Knowledge of dataset structures including PDS, PDSE, GDG, and VSAM.
• Experience administering DFSMS policies and constructs.
• Experience with IBM Flashcopy, FDR/ABR, and DFDSS.
• Experience with CA1 Tape Management Software.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
