Description

You will manage and optimize enterprise mainframe storage environments and disaster recovery protocols.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage all flavors of GDPS, including GDPS/PPRC, GDPS/GM, and GDPS/XRC.
• Configure and maintain IBM Z Systems, including z/OS, z/VM, and IBM DS8000 storage subsystems.
• Execute disaster recovery planning and conduct regular testing.
• Configure and plan Parallel Sysplex environments and Coupling Facilities.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe storage engineering.
• Expert-level knowledge of GDPS (GDPS/PPRC, GDPS/GM, GDPS/XRC).
• Deep technical expertise with IBM Z Systems, z/OS, and z/VM.
• Hands-on experience with IBM DS8000 storage subsystems.
• Experience with Parallel Sysplex and Coupling Facility configuration.
• Strong background in mainframe storage management tools.
• Proven track record in disaster recovery implementation.

Preferred Skills

• Former IBM engineer or consultant experience with enterprise GDPS deployments.
