Description

You will manage and maintain the mainframe database environment, ensuring stability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage DB2 objects including databases, tablespaces, tables, and indexes.
• Execute DB2 commands such as STOP/START, DISPLAY, and thread cancel/termination.
• Run DB2 utilities including REORG, RUNSTATS, COPY/RECOVER, LOAD/UNLOAD, and REPAIR.
• Perform BSDS updates using DSNJU003/DSNJU004 and support DB2 upgrades and SMP/E maintenance.
• Monitor and tune DB2 performance using catalog and dedicated tools while troubleshooting application issues.

Required Skills

• 4–6 years of Mainframe DB2 DBA or System Programmer experience.
• Strong knowledge of Mainframe and DB2 architecture.
• Proficiency in JCL and z/OS operations.
• Hands-on experience with DB2 utilities and SMP/E.
• Experience using ISV tools like BMC and CA.
• Strong SQL and catalog analysis skills.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration).
