Description

You will manage and maintain mainframe and distributed systems to ensure infrastructure reliability and peak efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Monitor mainframe and distributed systems in real-time to proactively detect and prevent service disruptions.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex system problems through to resolution.
• Create, alter, and manage job schedules across mainframe, Windows, and UNIX environments.
• Perform job restarts with required overrides and correct JCL syntax.
• Maintain operations manuals, documentation, and procedures for installing and configuring operating systems and subsystems.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support for assigned products and services.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development, basic coding, compilation, and software architecture.
• Thorough knowledge of CA7, CICF, DB2 basics, DFHSM, FTP, HMC, ISPF, JCL, JES2, NDM, NET MON, OPS MVS, SAR, TMON, TIVOLI, TPX, AFP, TSO, Visio, MVS Utilities, CLIST, and REXX.
• Proficiency with Windows and UNIX environments.
• Experience with network monitoring, system installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Ability to manage scheduler queues and update base calendars.
• Experience participating in disaster recovery and business resumption initiatives.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with EDCS products and services administration.
