Mainframe System Programmer

You will manage and optimize z/OS mainframe environments and system configurations.

Responsibilities

• Configure IBM mainframe hardware using HCD/HCM, LPAR, IOCP, and PARMLIB.
• Perform system performance tuning using RMF, SMF, OMEGAMON, and MainView.
• Administer mainframe security and RACF protocols.
• Manage DFSMS, catalogs, and tape management systems.
• Automate workloads using IBM TWS or CA-7.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience as a Mainframe System Programmer (z/OS).
• Deep expertise in z/OS internals, JCL, ISPF, and SMP/E.
• Hands-on experience with JES2, RACF, VTAM, and TCP/IP.
• Proficiency in REXX and CLIST scripting.
• Experience with system automation and workload schedulers.
• Familiarity with ITIL change and incident management processes.
• Degree in any field.

Preferred Skills

• z/VM installation and support.
• Disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Experience with compliance and audit support processes.
