Description

You will maintain, support, and fine-tune mainframe network environments, including parallel sysplex configurations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and debug mainframe network systems within parallel sysplex environments.
• Manage z/OS Communication Server SNA and TCP/IP across multiple LPARs.
• Perform network packet tracing and debugging using IPTRACE and NETSTAT.
• Support the network system side of mainframe operations using TSO/ISPF.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe networking.
• Deep knowledge of SNA and TCP/IP stacks.
• Experience with VTAM configuration, including APPN and PU/LU definitions.
• Proficiency in TCP/IP customization (PROFILE, PORT, Policy Agent).
• Familiarity with OSA configuration and tuning.
• Knowledge of Sysplex Distributor configuration.
• Understanding of SNA, TN3270, and encryption concepts.
