Description

You will manage, optimize, and maintain the z/OS operating system and associated mainframe software.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain z/OS system software and identify necessary system changes.
• Test programs within Sandbox and Staging environments.
• Analyze jobs, programs, and database structures to drive performance enhancements.
• Reduce batch processing times and online response times.
• Plan, evaluate, and supervise system software staff.

Required Skills

• 5-7 years of application programming and analysis experience.
• Strong experience migrating CA OPS/MVS programs (rules and REXX) to BMC Control-M.
• Proficiency with IBM Mainframe COBOL, DB2, JCL, and CICS.
• Experience with VSAM, EasyTrieve, Endevor, Expediter, RDz, or Topaz.
• Working knowledge of CICS web services, including REST and SOAP.
• Experience with SQL and Relational Datacom.
• Solid understanding of the BMC Control-M environment.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
