Description

You will manage the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of z/OS and associated IBM, BMC, and ISV products.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, upgrades, and maintenance for z/OS and related IBM/BMC products.
• Execute system initialization and tuning tasks.
• Manage disaster recovery exercises and protocols.
• Administer security via RACF and related security products.
• Configure and maintain hardware via HCD and IODFs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe system programming.
• Deep knowledge of SMP/E.
• Hands-on experience with SYSPLEX and Coupling Facility.
• Proficiency with JES, PARMLIB, USS, and DFSMS storage concepts.
• Experience managing RACF and security environments.
• Technical knowledge of z/OS environments including COBOL, Assembler, and Rexx.
• Competency with Java for z/OS, Node.js, and Python for z/OS.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate qualification.
