Description

You will install, upgrade, and customize ISV software tools within a multi-system z/OS mainframe environment while providing usage support and problem resolution.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and customize ISV software tools in a multi-system z/OS environment.
• Provide usage support for Application Development, Infrastructure, IT Operations, and IT Production Support.
• Manage problem report tracking and resolution using IBM and ISV online tools.
• Participate in periodic DR exercises to maintain system readiness.
• Monitor system status to proactively prevent issues and perform capacity planning.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe systems programming.
• Proficiency with z/OS components: JCL, JES2, DFSMS, DFHSM, DFDSS, SDSF, DFSORT, TSO, ISPF/PDF.
• Experience with hardware configuration and performance/capacity planning.
• Ability to apply documented problem-solving techniques independently.
• Strong communication skills for reporting critical information to management and operations.
• Intermediate skills in UNIX, Linux, or Windows.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with REXX, COBOL, z/VM, or CA Technologies (CA-DELIVER, CA-VIEW, SYSVIEW, EASY-TRIEV, CA1, CA7).
• Knowledge of EOS and Folders.
