Description

Manage the maintenance, installation, and administration of the z/OS operating system and associated systems software. Execute mainframe and storage environment upgrades, and manage UNIX System Services and related components.

Responsibilities

• Maintain z/OS, storage systems, and systems software including database, transaction server, security management, and scheduling products.
• Execute upgrades for the mainframe and related storage environments.
• Manage UNIX System Services and related software components.
• Provide production off-hour coverage and support periodic weekend implementations.
• Perform mainframe CPU installs as a systems programmer consultant.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience working with z/OS, JES2, SMP/E, TSO, and IOCP/HCD.
• Proven experience with VTAM and TCP/IP.
• Proficiency with basic IBM utilities such as IDCAMS and IEFBR14.
• Hands-on experience with program product installations and IBM virtual tape systems.
• Experience managing Unix System Services.
• Background working within enterprise-wide, large-scale implementations.
• Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of experience in a relevant technical field.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of CICS, IMS, DB2, and AFP printing.
• Experience using monitoring tools such as OMEGAMON.
