Description

You will maintain stability and health for Tier-0 mainframe platforms as a Performance Analyst.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily system health to identify exceptions and drive performance improvements.
• Gather key metrics and develop performance reporting using MXG, SAS, and Splunk.
• Resolve system health conditions and troubleshoot complex incidents.
• Support DevOps for over 1000 batch job streams and design technical solutions for integrations.
• Participate in a 24x7x365 on-call rotation for performance and health restoration.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of mainframe systems experience in large, multi-processor, multi-LPAR, Parallel Sysplex environments.
• Proficiency with z/OS, JCL, TSO, and ISPF.
• 2 years of experience with SAS programming and statistical data analysis.
• Familiarity with over 100 SMF/RMF record types.
• Experience with coupling facility structures, setting LPAR weights, and capping.
• Knowledge of WLM, MXG, and ThruPut Manager.
• Ability to work across multi-platforms including z/OS, zLinux, and Windows.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing Proof of Concepts (POC) for new products.
