Description

You will own the maintenance and support of z/OS mainframe systems, including DB2 subsystems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain DB2 subsystems within a z/OS environment.
• Perform DB2 software installs, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to DB2 and associated products.
• Tune DB2 configurations for optimal performance and resource utilization.
• Provide technical leadership and documentation for DB2 best practices.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience working with z/OS.
• Expertise with JES2, SMP/E, TSO, IOCP/HCD, and Basic IBM Utilities (e.g., IDCAMS, IEFBR14).
• Working knowledge of DB2 and experience with DB2 Database system recovery.
• Experience with VTAM and TCP/IP.
• Experience with mainframe CPU installs as a systems programmer.
• Familiarity with Unix System Services and the IBM virtual tape system.
• Experience using monitoring tools such as OMEGAMON.
