Description

You will manage and support IBM Systems Z hardware and software within a large-scale z/OS environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer z/OS mainframe environments and maintain architecture to ensure system performance, availability, and integrity.
  • Apply and support maintenance for IBM software and third-party packages, primarily Broadcom.
  • Provide CICS and MQ systems programming support.
  • Extrapolate performance metrics from SMF data and perform resource tuning.
  • Participate in disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and an after-hours support rotation.

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of experience as a Systems Programmer in IBM Mainframe technologies.
  • Deep experience providing production IBM mainframe support.
  • Proficiency with SMP/E and general IBM mainframe systems programming.
  • Hands-on experience with CICS and MQ.
  • 8+ years of experience maintaining third-party software packages, specifically Broadcom-CA.
  • Expertise in software installation, maintenance, and performance management.
  • Ability to manage the lifecycle of a z/OS environment.
