Description

Manage and maintain the z/OS operating system and related storage and replication products within an IBM Z environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Support the IBM Z Mainframe z/OS environment, focusing on SMS, IBM Virtual Tape Library, Hitachi Storage/Disk, and Data Replication.
• Execute secure upgrades, configurations, and maintenance of supported release levels.
• Perform root cause analysis to resolve technical issues and improve system stability.
• Build alerting and automation to monitor system health and integrate interrelated systems.
• Provide technical expertise for IT projects and maintain necessary technical documentation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in systems programming, systems analysis, or transaction server administration.
• Working knowledge of Broadcom, BMC, and Rocket Software products.
• Experience managing z/OS operating systems and storage management subsystems.
• Proficiency in programming, database management, and systems analysis applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex mainframe environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both management and staff.
