Description

You will manage the maintenance, administration, and upgrades of the mainframe z/OS operating system and related enterprise software.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain z/OS, storage systems, and UNIX System Services through installations, patching, and upgrades.
• Manage systems software products including databases, transaction servers, security management, and scheduling tools.
• Execute upgrades for mainframe hardware and associated storage systems.
• Provide off-hour production coverage and support periodic weekend implementations.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience with z/OS, JES2, SMP/E, TSO, and IOCP/HCD.
• Experience with VTAM and TCP/IP.
• Proficiency with basic IBM utilities such as IDCAMS and IEFBR14.
• Experience with program product installations and Unix System Services.
• Working knowledge of the IBM virtual tape system.
• Experience managing large-scale, enterprise-wide implementations.
• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of experience in a relevant technical field.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of CICS, IMS, DB2, and AFP printing.
• Experience using monitoring tools like OMEGAMON.
