Lead the analysis, design, and development of critical mainframe applications while managing a team of developers.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis, design, and development of mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, IMS DB, and DB2.
• Manage and mentor a team of mainframe developers, providing technical direction and fostering skill development.
• Define and enforce architectural standards; lead design sessions for complex solutions and ensure coding best practices.
• Monitor and optimize application performance, implementing tuning strategies for scalable technical solutions.
• Coordinate with offshore development teams and QA to align priorities, support automation, and deliver high-quality software.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in mainframe development.
• Expert proficiency in COBOL and JCL.
• Strong experience with IMS DB and DB2.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record of leading technical teams and defining architectural standards.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of mainframe applications.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder management and offshore coordination.
