Description

You will lead mainframe development and technical strategy for core systems, owning the release pipeline and mentoring team members.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of mainframe applications using Cobol, DB2, and CICS.
• Manage data structures and file processing using VSAM and JCL.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git.
• Oversee system monitoring and troubleshooting using Splunk and Kibana.
• Drive technical problem solving and mentor team members in an Agile environment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe development.
• Proficiency in Cobol, DB2, CICS, JCL, and VSAM.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows using Jenkins.
• Hands-on with zOS Connect development tools such as IDz or RDz.
• Experience with streaming and data publishing tools including Kafka, HEC, Cassandra, and Data Distributor.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, Kibana, and Rancher.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes concepts, specifically Nodes and Pods.
• Competency with Autosys, Postman, Insomnia, and Beyond Compare.
• Ability to work within Agile methodologies and use Jira.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using Microsoft Visio for technical documentation.
