Description

You will architect and develop enterprise-scale mainframe solutions, defining technical architecture and guiding development teams.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and build enterprise-scale mainframe applications using COBOL and DB2.
• Define technical architecture, solution designs, and system integration approaches.
• Review application designs and code to ensure quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to mainframe systems.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Required Skills

• 6+ years experience in COBOL and DB2-based mainframe application development.
• Proven experience in a Technical Architect or Lead role within mainframe environments.
• Expertise in Mainframe Architecture, Technical Design, and JCL.
• Experience across the end-to-end application lifecycle: design, development, testing, and support.
• Experience with performance tuning, batch processing, and large-scale transaction systems.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to lead technical discussions and provide architectural guidance to development and support teams.
