You will lead mainframe application development and technical direction for a team of engineers.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team developing mainframe applications using Cobol, Db2, Vsam, JCL, and CICS.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering through deployment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Perform code reviews and enforce coding standards to ensure deliverable quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across Cobol, Db2, Vsam, JCL, and CICS applications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe development.
• Proficiency in mainframe Cobol programming language.
• Strong knowledge of mainframe Db2, Vsam, and JCL.
• Experience working with mainframe CICS in a production environment.
• Solid understanding of mainframe architecture and system software.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities to guide a technical team.
