Description

You will provide deep technical leadership on mainframe systems, owning the analysis, debugging, and resolution of complex application issues.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mainframe applications and conduct impact assessments to translate findings into business rules and process flow diagrams.
• Debug and resolve complex mainframe problems using deep system knowledge.
• Apply SDLC and Agile methodologies to manage the development lifecycle effectively.
• Utilize core mainframe utilities including SORT, IDCAMS, and ISPF for data management and operations.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of professional experience in mainframe development and support.
• Expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, IMS DB, and SQL.
• Proficiency with mainframe tools such as Topaz and Control-M.
• Experience with Endeavor or similar mainframe development environments.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities for legacy systems.
• Familiarity with REXX automation scripts.
• Exposure to API integration and microservices concepts.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years tenure in previous mainframe leadership roles.
