Description

You will own hands-on mainframe testing across CICS, COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and design documents to derive test scenarios and detailed test cases.
• Prepare and maintain test data using FileAid and File Manager.
• Customize and execute JCLs to run batch jobs and validate outcomes.
• Execute functional integration and regression tests for CICS online and batch components.
• Investigate and analyze abends from JES spool, debugging using Xpediter.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe testing.
• Proficiency in COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
• Strong SQL querying and DB2 database testing skills.
• Experience analyzing abends from JES spool.
• Familiarity with debugging tools such as Xpediter.
• Experience with HP Quality Center ALM and Jira for test management.
• Ability to analyze COBOL and DB2 code to trace logic.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies, phases, and best practices.
