Key Responsibilities
Analyze business and functional requirements.
Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scenarios.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
Validate data using mainframe utilities and databases.
Log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
Participate in test planning, estimation, and status reporting.
Ensure adherence to QA processes and testing standards.

Required Skills
2–5 years of experience in Mainframe Testing.
Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS.
Experience with mainframe emulators such as IBM Personal Communications or similar.
Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect life cycle.
Experience in writing and executing test cases.
Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or ALM.
Basic SQL/DB2 query knowledge.
Strong analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
Exposure to Agile methodology.
Experience in Banking, Insurance, or Financial Services domain.
Knowledge of test automation on mainframe is an added advantage.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
