Description

You will test mainframe applications across core banking and lending systems, owning the full testing lifecycle from design to defect resolution.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test cases, data, and scripts for mainframe applications including Hogan, ALS, CACS, and ACAPS.
• Validate batch jobs (JCL), CICS transactions, DB2/IMS databases, VSAM files, and reports.
• Perform system, integration, regression, and UAT support testing.
• Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
• Provide root cause analysis for defects and suggest improvements to system stability.

Required Skills

• 20+ years of hands-on experience in Mainframe Testing.
• Expertise with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
• Knowledge of Hogan (Deposits/core banking), ALS (Loan servicing), CACS (Collections), and ACAPS (Credit application).
• Experience with File-Aid, Abend-Aid, and CA7/Control-M.
• Ability to analyze backend data using SQL/DB2 queries.
• Familiarity with STLC, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in test planning, execution, and defect management processes.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years tenure in previous mainframe roles.
