Description

You will own the end-to-end testing process within a mainframe environment.

Responsibilities

• Create test strategy and test plan documents defining testing scope and approach.
• Analyze requirements to identify test scenarios and design corresponding test cases.
• Prepare test data and JCL to submit batch jobs for execution.
• Report defects and coordinate with Development and support teams for issue resolution.
• Analyze Spool logs to determine the root cause of abended jobs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years experience in the software testing life cycle (STLC) process.
• Proficiency in editing or creating JCL to submit batch jobs.
• Knowledge of TSO/ISPF commands in Mainframe environments.
• Experience working with IT Developers to analyze COBOL programs and identify I/O files.
• Skill in editing Mainframe files using Layouts/Copybooks via FileAID to modify test data.
• Experience verifying outputs in DB2 or file systems.
• Familiarity with STLC or Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Any Graduate degree.
• 3-year tenure in previous roles.
