Description

You will design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans for mainframe applications, ensuring functional, regression, integration, and system quality.

Responsibilities

• Validate batch jobs, online transactions, and data processing workflows using COBOL and JCL knowledge.
• Perform data validation against DB2 and VSAM files to ensure integrity.
• Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect management tools.
• Collaborate with development and business teams to define test scenarios and support UAT and production validation.
• Maintain detailed test documentation, reports, and metrics throughout the SDLC.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Mainframe testing environments.
• Strong understanding of COBOL programs and JCL for program validation and business logic comprehension.
• Knowledge of DB2, VSAM, and batch processing validation.
• Experience with test case design and defect tracking tools.
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
