Description

You will own the testing lifecycle for mainframe batch and online applications in an Agile environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans, cases, and strategies based on business requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and security testing for batch and online systems.
• Validate data integrity in DB2, VSAM, and flat files using complex SQL queries.
• Analyze job logs, spool files, and Abend reports to debug and troubleshoot batch processing issues.
• Log and track defects in JIRA or Client ALM, maintaining detailed test documentation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe testing.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM.
• Strong SQL skills for DB2 data validation.
• Experience with test management tools like JIRA, Client ALM, or QC.
• Ability to use JCL utilities and File-Aid for test data preparation.
• Knowledge of STLC, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience debugging with tools like Expeditor.

Preferred Skills

• Experience automating tests with Tosca or Selenium for regression suites.
• Domain knowledge in banking or finance.
