Description

You will manage and maintain z/OS and z/VM environments to ensure system stability and performance.

There is no work mode specified for this role.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and migrate z/OS software using SMP/e Level 3.
• Execute IPL and POR procedures and manage hardware configuration via HCD and HCM.
• Troubleshoot BAU issues and maintain system health through APAR patch installation.
• Manage user access privileges using RACF or ACF2.
• Monitor system performance using HMC, master console, and VTAM monitoring tools.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe administration.
• Deep knowledge of z/OS, JES2, TSO/ISPF, DFSMS, VTAM, RACF, RMF, and SMF.
• Hands-on experience with z/VM components including TCP/IP, APPC/VM, VTAM Support (AVS), and CMS.
• Proficiency with IBM utilities such as ADDRSU, FDR, IEBCOPY, and IEBGENER.
• Experience with z/VM specific tools: GCS, OSA/SF, REXX/VM, TSAF, VMSES/E, DFSMS/VM, DirMaint, and RSCS.
• Ability to use monitoring and administration tools like TMON, Omegamon, Mainview, or SYSView.
• Knowledge of IODF Level 3 and various z/Architecture configurations.
• Experience with FT and SFTP.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IT IS_AMS_Mainframe_CICS Administration.
