Description

You will manage and maintain the IBM z/OS mainframe platform, including software environments, vendor products, and production support.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, customize, test, and document independent software vendor (ISV) products and manage vendor resolutions.
• Use SMP/E to receive, apply, and manage z/OS software packages and resolve installation issues via output message interpretation.
• Manage the z/OS UNIX System Services (USS) environment, including creating, securing, and troubleshooting file systems and mount points.
• Create, update, and debug z/OS parameters using PARMLIB.
• Provide production off-hour coverage and maintain detailed documentation for all mainframe software and hardware installations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe administration.
• Proficiency with z/OS and JES2.
• Expertise in SMP/E for software installation and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with TSO and IOCP/HCD.
• Knowledge of Parallel Sysplex environments.
• Experience managing UNIX System Services (USS).
• Working knowledge of VTAM, TCP/IP, and FTP.
• Degree in any graduate field.
