Description

You will manage and support complex mainframe environments in Plano, TX. You will handle LPAR and MIPS configuration, capacity management, and migration projects.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support mainframe LPARs and MIPS resources.
• Manage mainframe migrations and datacenter design initiatives.
• Perform backup and restore operations using tape systems.
• Oversee capacity planning and performance management for mainframe systems.
• Administer remote MIPS/LPARs and collaborate with vendor partners to meet SLAs and improve operational procedures.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in mainframe environment support.
• Deep expertise in z/OS system programming.
• Hands-on experience with LPAR and MIPS management.
• Proven track record in mainframe datacenter migrations and design.
• Proficiency in mainframe backup and restore processes.
• Strong background in capacity and performance management.
