Description

You will manage and support a complex mainframe environment focused on z/OS operations, capacity management, and migrations.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Execute z/OS version upgrades including v2.4, v2.5, and v3.1.
• Manage LPAR and MIPS installation, configuration, and remote administration.
• Perform mainframe and datacenter migrations and design tasks.
• Handle mainframe backup and restore procedures using tape.
• Coordinate with vendor partners to manage SLAs and improve operational policies.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Mainframe systems programming.
• Hands-on experience with z/OS version upgrades.
• Proficiency with OmegaMon Suite product upgrades.
• Experience upgrading IBM TWS scheduling tools.
• Experience upgrading IBM System Automation, IBM Tivoli, and Netview.
• Expertise in LPAR and MIPS management and capacity planning.
• Proven ability in mainframe datacenter migration and design.
• Strong background in performance management and remote administration.
