Description

You administer and support z/OS (MVS) mainframe environments, ensuring system stability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage batch job scheduling and execution using JES2 and JES3.
• Perform software installation, maintenance, and upgrades using SMP/E.
• Administer RACF security, user access, and permission management.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams to maintain system stability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Mainframe z/OS systems programming or administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with z/OS (MVS), JES2, and JES3.
• Proficiency in SMP/E for software maintenance and upgrades.
• Experience administering RACF for security and access control.
• Knowledge of JCL, VSAM, DB2, and COBOL for production support.
• Ability to monitor system performance and tune for efficiency.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience maintaining technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
