Description

Administer and support IBM z/OS, MVS, CICS, DB2, IMS, JES2/JES3, and Parallel Sysplex environments, including system upgrades and performance tuning.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage enterprise batch processing using Control-M, CA-7, Autosys, and Stone branch UAC for job scheduling, abend analysis, and production support.
• Administer RACF security, including user/group management, dataset permissions, and SOX compliance.
• Support legacy applications developed in COBOL, Assembler, REXX, JCL, and SAS, handling troubleshooting and code promotion using RTC and SCLM.
• Perform system diagnostics, root cause analysis, disaster recovery support, storage management, and automation using CA-OPS/MVS and Net View.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience with IBM z/OS, MVS, CICS, DB2, IMS, and Parallel Sysplex.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, REXX, Assembler, CLIST, and SAS.
• Hands-on experience with SMP/E, z/OSMF, SDSF, TSO/ISPF, and USS.
• Expertise in batch scheduling tools: Control-M, CA-7, Autosys, or Stone branch UAC.
• Deep knowledge of RACF administration and mainframe security protocols.
• Experience with TCP/IP, VTAM, Connect: Direct, SFTP, and SSL/TLS.
• Familiarity with CA-OPS/MVS, Net View, ServiceNow, and Ansible.
• Storage management experience with DFSMS, VSAM, CA-1, IBM DS8K, or EMC Power Max.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Linux on IBM Z (RHEL, z/VM).
• Knowledge of ITIL, Agile, SOX compliance, and enterprise infrastructure modernization.
• IBM Mainframe or related certifications.
