Description

Lead the installation, customization, and support of ISV products on IBM Mainframe systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and document ISV products, including user-level modifications for specific site requirements.
• Manage software lifecycles using IBM SMP/E to receive, apply, and maintain z/OS and associated software.
• Administer the z/OS USS environment, including creating, securing, and troubleshooting file systems and mount points.
• Configure and debug z/OS parameters via PARMLIB.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve software installation and technical issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with z/OS environments.
• Expertise in IBM SMP/E, including interpreting output messages and managing installation packages.
• Hands-on experience with JES2, TSO, and Parallel Sysplex.
• Proficiency with IOCP/HCD.
• Direct experience managing IBM z/OS USS (UNIX System Services).
• Knowledge of z/OS communications products including VTAM, TCP/IP, and FTP.
• Ability to create and update detailed technical documentation for hardware and software upgrades.
• Experience managing and debugging PARMLIB parameters.
