Description

You will develop and maintain core applications on mainframe systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using COBOL and JCL.
• Manage and interact with VSAM and mainframe databases like DB2.
• Process jobs using mainframe architecture knowledge, covering both batch and CICS online processing.
• Utilize tools such as TSO/ISPF or Endevor for daily operations.
• Document technical work clearly.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in mainframe development.
• Proficiency in COBOL.
• Expertise in JCL (Job Control Language).
• Hands-on experience with VSAM.
• Experience with DB2 or equivalent mainframe databases.
• Familiarity with TSO/ISPF and Endevor.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CICS.
• Knowledge of REXX, Assembler, or PL/I.
