Description

You will support a large-scale Material Master (MM) data cleanup and enrichment project for an oil and gas client.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with materials management experts to clean and enrich material master data across all assets.
• Validate technical specifications and identify spare parts, alternates, and technical equivalencies.
• Define material specification taxonomy using international standards for the oil and gas industry.
• Enrich material descriptions, specifications, and attributes according to industry standards.
• Participate in technical review sessions with U.S. central time zone stakeholders to decide on material criticality and interchangeability.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in maintenance and reliability engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Deep understanding of UNSPSC materials classification and BOM structures.
• Extensive knowledge of MR0 mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation items.
• Expertise in spare parts management and material criticality.
• Ability to manage complex data validation scenarios and specification standardization.
• Strong communication skills for client technical interviews and subject matter expert collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP.
• Experience with AI-assisted data cleanup tools.
