Description

Lead the data engineering team to execute web scraping initiatives and manage data extraction workflows. You will own the technical strategy, team performance, and project delivery for data acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Data Engineers, setting clear goals and priorities.
• Develop project plans and strategies for web scraping, ensuring ethical data collection and privacy compliance.
• Implement quality assurance processes to maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Manage department objectives including recruiting, training, performance management, and resource allocation.
• Oversee financial objectives through budget preparation, forecasting, and expenditure analysis.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in an office setting and 10+ years of people management experience.
• Proven experience in web scraping and data extraction with strong understanding of best practices.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Experience with data storage and database management systems.
• Strong skills in project management, budget development, and quality management.
• Ability to develop systems, policies, and productivity standards.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or management.
