Description

You will lead the design and maintenance of Tableau dashboards integrated with the Hadoop ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports to visualize data from HDFS, Hive, HBase, and other big data platforms.
• Translate business requirements into effective visualizations by working closely with data engineers and analysts.
• Optimize Tableau dashboards and queries to ensure high performance and scalability on large Hadoop datasets.
• Troubleshoot data quality issues and inconsistencies within the Hadoop environment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to iteratively improve dashboards based on feedback.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a Tableau Developer with a strong portfolio of dashboards and reports.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data.
• Experience using Hive, Impala, or Spark SQL to query data in Hadoop.
• Solid understanding of Hadoop ecosystem technologies including HDFS, MapReduce, YARN, Hive, HBase, and Spark.
• Proven ability to optimize Tableau performance on large-scale datasets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting data issues.

Preferred Skills

• Tableau Desktop or Server certification.
