Description

Define and execute test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications for complex API systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute test plans for manual testing on API applications, covering functional, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Lead test projects with minimal supervision, creating test cases, scripts, and business scenarios for end-to-end testing.
• Perform technical testing activities including planning, design, scripting, execution, debugging, and reporting.
• Monitor issues and defects for trends, providing metrics to the project management team and managing testing risks.
• Mentor less experienced individuals and provide quality advocacy across technical and business groups.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in manual testing, specifically on API applications.
• Proficiency in SQL for test data creation and verification.
• Hands-on experience with test case development and execution tools such as Azure DevOps and Jira Test Management.
• Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Journeyman knowledge of information systems elements (hardware, software, network) and their application to business functions.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to independently create test plans and scenarios with minimum assistance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automated testing tools and approaches.
• Proven track record of technical leadership and mentoring in QA projects.
