Job Overview

We are seeking 3 Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II professionals to support maintenance operations at a high-speed manufacturing facility in Denver.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and production equipment.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and experience working with production machinery.

Food manufacturing equipment experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on electrical and mechanical equipment.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

Maintain and repair motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery.

Diagnose equipment malfunctions and identify the source of problems.

Dismantle equipment and replace defective or worn parts.

Use measuring instruments such as rules, calipers, and micrometers to inspect components.

Adjust machinery, functional parts, and control instruments as needed.

Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, sketches, manuals, and engineering specifications.

Fabricate repair parts using machine shop tools and equipment.

Perform basic welding, machining, and fabrication.

Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

Perform equipment setup and assist with starting and stopping production machinery.

Adjust production machinery to maintain proper operation.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, equipment downtime, and process documentation.

Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventory.

Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures as required.

Follow GMP and all applicable regulatory, safety, and company policies.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Communicate with production employees regarding preventive maintenance procedures and equipment issues.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.

Food manufacturing equipment experience is preferred.

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Basic working knowledge of PLCs.

Ability to read and understand technical prints and diagrams.

Understanding of preventive maintenance (PM) procedures.

Ability to use basic shop, hand, and power tools.

Basic welding, machining, and fabrication skills.

Experience starting, stopping, and adjusting production machinery.

Strong math and problem-solving skills.

Ability to accurately complete maintenance documentation and work orders.

Ability to work in a noisy manufacturing environment.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, and perform physical maintenance activities.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.

Previous forklift or powered-equipment experience is preferred but not required.

Ammonia and boiler knowledge is preferred but not required.

Work Environment & Schedule

Onsite: Denver, Colorado

Primarily 3rd shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Potential 2nd shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

Must be flexible with workdays and willing to work Saturday or Sunday when scheduled.

This is a unionized facility where seniority may influence shift assignments and scheduling.

Contract Opportunity

This is a contract position with the possibility of an assignment extension based on business needs.

There may also be an opportunity for conversion to a full-time position, depending on performance and business requirements.

If converted to full-time, the employee will be required to join the onsite union.

Compensation

$39.78/hour
