Description

Build and maintain systems to capture, normalize, and deliver market data for investment research.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement processes for market data ingestion and normalization.
• Maintain data pipelines driving investment team analyses.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to handle large datasets.
• Collaborate with Research and Technology groups to improve data delivery efficiency.
• Apply system design principles and design patterns to scalable data solutions.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of software development experience in the finance industry.
• Hands-on development experience with Java or other statically-typed languages.
• Proficiency with SQL and managing large datasets.
• Experience working with diverse market data vendors and asset classes (equities, rates, corporate credit).
• Practical knowledge of source code control, unit/integration testing, and continuous integration.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Java 8+, Spring Framework, and microservice architecture.
• Experience with market data providers such as Bloomberg or Markit.
