Develop control strategies for engine speed, gear, powertrain state, and torque optimization in Auburn Hills, MI.

Responsibilities

• Develop tactical torque controls for drivability management and hybrid shift execution strategies.
• Model mechanical transmission systems using lever analogy principles to determine dynamic torque and speed relations.
• Perform modeling, simulation, development, testing, calibration, and validation of vehicle functions.
• Apply classical and modern control disciplines to vehicle applications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of automotive experience.
• Proficiency with MATLAB and SIMULINK for model-based development.
• Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools such as ETAS-INCA.
• Strong background in modeling mechanical transmission systems.
• Experience with embedded software.
• Deep knowledge of vehicle and powertrain functions.
• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• Proven technical problem-solving capabilities.
