Description

You will install, configure, and upgrade IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9.1.x on Red Hat OpenShift clusters. You own the release pipeline for MAS Core and Maximo Manage, ensuring infrastructure readiness and seamless transitions from Maximo 7.6.x.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure MAS 9.1.x components on OpenShift (OCP/ROSA/ARO), managing cluster sizing, storage classes, and networking.
• Execute Maximo 7.6.x to MAS 9.1.x upgrades, including Integrity Checker validation, SMP/DB compatibility checks, and defect remediation.
• Standardize installation procedures and support automated MAS deployments using CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/GitOps).
• Troubleshoot MAS, OpenShift, Oracle database, and integration issues during installation and post-upgrade phases.
• Prepare installation runbooks, upgrade documents, and environment checklists; support system testing, UAT, and hypercare.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of IT experience with strong focus on IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) installation and upgrades.
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP, ROSA, or ARO) and Linux administration.
• Proficiency with MAS CLI, entitlement keys, license configuration, ConfigDB, and Integrity Checker.
• Database knowledge of Oracle, including data migration and compatibility validation.
• Experience managing SSL certificates, LDAP/AD, SMTP, and system integrations.
• Container fundamentals (Docker/Podman) and understanding of CI/CD workflows.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automated MAS installations using GitOps-based workflows.
• Knowledge of IBM Maximo Manage 7.6.x architecture and upgrade paths.
