Description

Design mechanical parts, modules, and subsystems for broad band plasma wafer inspection opto-mechanical assemblies.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete design process from requirements specification and feasibility studies to detailed design and manufacturing handoff.
• Conduct fluid, thermal, vibrational, and FEA modeling to validate subsystem performance.
• Develop precision mechanisms including actuator selection, tolerance analysis, and optics mounting/alignment design.
• Collaborate with electrical, optical, systems, and software engineers to derive requirements and ensure seamless integration.
• Manage suppliers to ensure design requirements are met and oversee prototype procurement and testing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and mechanism development.
• Proficiency in CAD systems including Pro-E, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
• Experience with precision mechanism development, including life time evaluation and alignment/adjustment design.
• Ability to create detailed drawings, assembly procedures, test procedures, and service manuals.
• Experience in prototype testing and system integration.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills for resolving product issues through all phases.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ceros/ProEngineer.
• CAE expertise in thermal, structural, or flow analysis using ANSYS.
