Lead mechanical design and validation for oil and gas completion tools and test fixtures in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Identify functional requirements and design components following established standards.
• Collaborate with FEA/CFD simulation teams to model tool performance.
• Lead design reviews at various project stages and manage stakeholder meetings.
• Coordinate with testing departments to assemble, validate for HPHT testing, and inspect equipment.
• Mentor junior team members and identify potential intellectual property disclosures.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in the oil and gas domain.
• Expertise in concept and detail design for permanent packers, open hole packers, retrievable packers, hydrostatic actuation systems, production anchors, and polished bore assemblies/receptacles.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for modeling, assembly, drafting, PLM, and PDM.
• Experience with DFM, DFA, FMEA, and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE).
• Knowledge of material selection for HPHT products and detailed design calculations.
• Ability to create tool and test layouts in compliance with API standards, specifically API 11D1 and API 19OH.
• Proven track record in root cause, corrective, and preventative actions.
• 5+ years of experience using ERP/MRP (SAP) systems in manufacturing.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
