Description

You will execute complex mechanical design and analysis tasks for gas turbine rotors.

Responsibilities

• Execute 2D and 3D gas turbine rotor finite element analyses in Ansys.
• Perform post-processing exercises including LCF crack initiation, LCF crack propagation, and bolted joint behavior summaries.
• Pull CAD models from PLM and work CAD models in Siemens NX.
• Summarize and document all analytical results, supporting defect evaluation through analysis.
• Support the automation of typical engineering tasks using Python.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3D CAD Modeling proficiency.
• ANSYS Finite Element Analysis experience.
• Fracture Mechanics Analysis knowledge.
• Low Cycle Fatigue (LCF) analysis.
• Rotor Design principles.
• Siemens NX proficiency.
• Python Automation skills.
